Nicht selten stellt der Nützlingseinsatz den letzten gangbaren Weg des Pflanzenschutzes im Zierpflanzenbaus unter Glas dar. Besonders dann, wenn über Jahre bis Jahrzehnte hinweg in einem Betrieb durch nicht konsequente Pflanzenschutzmaßnahmen oder mangelnde Spritztechnik resistente Schädlingspopulationen herangezogen worden sind. In einem solchen Fall ist davon auszugehen, dass alle Möglichkeiten der chemischen Schädlingsbekämpfung ausgeschöpft worden sind.

Das vorliegende Handbuch zum praktischen Arbeiten resumiert die Ergebnisse aus den Verbundvorhaben „Nützlinge I“ und „Nützlinge II“ des JKI und verschiedener Produzenten von Zierpflanzen.
